The Rise and Fall of Israelites: A Divine Warning

Israel has now reached the peak of transgression. The Holy Qur’an has repeatedly warned this nation, recounting the dire punishments that were inflicted upon them—twice—for their corruption and rebellion. Not only does the Qur’an chronicle their history, but it also prophesies the fall of Israel. Today, Muslims across Palestine and around the globe wait—when will Allah’s promise be fulfilled? When will Israel collapse under the weight of its oppression?

Two Great Corruptions of the Children of Israel
The Children of Israel (Bani Israel) caused corruption twice on Earth. These events are not only documented in Islamic texts but also supported by historical accounts. Under the leadership of Yusha ibn Nun (AS) [Joshua son of Nun], the successor of Musa (AS) [Moses], Bani Israel conquered the land of Palestine. The region was divided into twelve kingdoms, weakening their unity. The Assyrians exploited this vulnerability and overran the twelve kingdoms.

Eventually, under King Talut (AS) [Saul], Bani Israel defeated the Assyrians. In this battle, Dawud (AS) [King David] slew the mighty Jalut [Goliath], liberating the land. Talut ruled for 16 years, followed by Dawud (AS) for 40 years, and finally Sulayman (AS) [King Solomon] for another 40 years—marking a century of power and prosperity.

However, Sulayman (AS)’s two sons quarreled over succession after his death, dividing the kingdom into two: Israel (north) and Judah (south). Nationalism and internal strife brewed between them. Cultural decline took precedence over faith, and black magic became rampant.

Around 700 BCE the Assyrians invaded the northern kingdom and conquered it. A century later, the Babylonians under King Nebuchadnezzar launched a brutal invasion around 587 BCE, destroying both kingdoms. Al-Aqsa, built by the Jinns under Sulayman (AS)’s command, was demolished. According to historical records, 600,000 Jews were killed, and another 600,000 were enslaved and taken to Babylon—this was the First Diaspora.

Quranic Reference to the First Punishment
“And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture: ‘You will surely cause corruption on the earth twice, and you will surely reach [a degree of] great arrogance.’
So when the promise came for the first of the two, We sent against you servants of Ours – those of great military might – and they ravaged your homes. And it was a promise fulfilled.”
[Surah Al-Isra (17): 4–5]

The Rise Again—and Second Fall
Bani Israel experienced a rebirth, according to many scholars, through Uzair (AS) [Ezra]. During this period, Persia (modern Iran) conquered Babylon under Cyrus the Great, who allowed the Jews to return to their homeland. With Uzair (AS) at the helm, they established a second kingdom, even more powerful than the one under Sulayman (AS). Their numbers and wealth grew immensely.

“Then We gave you a return victory over them. And We reinforced you with wealth and sons and made you more numerous in manpower.”
[Surah Al-Isra (17): 6]

Yet again, they succumbed to moral decay—indulging in immorality, gambling, black magic, and shameless behavior. This internal weakness paved the way for the Romans to conquer them. The Romans placed puppet Jewish rulers under their control, but real authority rested with the empire.

It was during this Roman rule that Isa (AS) [Jesus] was born. However, Bani Israel rejected him and attempted to kill him. Seventy years after his birth, Emperor Titus besieged Jerusalem, slaughtering 130,000 people in a single day, and destroying Al-Aqsa for a second time. The Jews fled the Holy Land, beginning the Second Diaspora.

Quranic Reference to the Second Punishment
“If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, you do it to yourselves. Then when the final promise came, We sent your enemies to disfigure your faces and to enter the Masjid as they entered it the first time, and to destroy whatever they laid their hands on completely.”
[Surah Al-Isra (17): 7]

Final Warning and the Promise of a Third Destruction
Until the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the Jews remained in this scattered state. They expected the final prophet to arise from their lineage, through the children of Ishaq AS [Isaac]. But when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came from the lineage of Ismail (AS) [Ishmael], they rejected him despite recognizing his traits from their scriptures. As a result, Allah removed Qiblah from Al-Aqsa to Makkah and clearly distinguished the Muslim Ummah from the Jews.

“Perhaps your Lord will have mercy upon you. But if you return [to sin], We will return [to punishment]. And We have made Hell a prison for the disbelievers.”
[Surah Al-Isra (17): 8]

This final verse contains a stark warning: if Bani Israel returns to sin and corruption, Allah will return with a punishment worse than before. In today’s world, Israel is once again committing horrific atrocities—massacres of innocents, including women and children. They have indeed returned to their old ways.

And according to Allah’s promise…

He too will return with His punishment.

Now, the Muslim world waits… When will Allah’s final warning be fulfilled?
